The Metro Police Department is dedicated to serving and protecting the citizens of our metropolitan area. With a focus on community policing and innovative law enforcement strategies, we strive to maintain public safety and build trust with the communities we serve.

Patrol Division
First responders to emergency calls and routine patrol duties
Investigations Division
Handles criminal investigations and follow-up work
Special Operations
Includes SWAT, K-9, and other specialized units
Community Relations
Focuses on building relationships with the community
Requirements
U.S. Citizenship
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien who is eligible for and has applied for citizenship
Age Requirement
Must be at least 21 years of age by academy graduation
Education
Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent
Background Check
Must pass a comprehensive background investigation
Physical Fitness
Must pass physical agility test and medical examination
